The Municipal Theatre of Piraeus presents the performance  In Motion: A Statue That Ran Away  directed by Danae Mega  FOYER  Opening: December 7

After its great success at the National Glyptotheque, the in situ children’s performance In Motion: A Statue That Ran Away returns in a new version at the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus.

A theatre that transforms into a museum.
A performance that breaks stereotypes.

A statue that ran away…
A girl who’s an art collector…

At the theatre, they tell you not to move and to be completely quiet.
At the museum, they tell you not to touch anything, only to look.
But this time, no one said anything.
The third bell rings and the performance begins!
Or does it?

Celine, a young art collector full of curiosity and imagination, lands at the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus and accidentally meets Bien, a statue that escaped from its museum and dreams of becoming famous.
She loves memory and stories; he seeks the spotlight. Together, they embark on an unpredictable adventure inside a theatre filled with voices, objects, and magical narratives that come alive.

Through the scenic artworks of Nikol Oikonomidou, the space transforms into a dreamlike setting overflowing with magic and boundless imagination, play, intense action, twists, plenty of laughter, and incredible situations.

Art, memory, and play intertwine in a story that comes alive before the eyes of children and adults alike. As the scenic artworks come to life, imagination blends with reality and the old meets the new.

A museum that feels like a dream.

A story about friendship, coexistence, memory, and the power of giving life to the things you love.

In the end, the audience becomes part of the performance—because in the theatre, anything can happen!

A show about imagination, creativity, and the courage to follow your own movement, even when everyone around you remains still.

Suitable for children aged 4 and up and for the whole family.
